Listen: Jimi Somewhere – ‘I Shot My Dog’

"A song about growing up and all the pain that comes with it..."

Rising Norwegian talent Jimi Somewhere has shared his powerful new song 'I Shot My Dog'.

Brought up in the Norwegian countryside, Jimi Somewhere followed his dreams to Los Angeles, trying to make it in the music capital.

Learning a lot about songwriting, production, and his own life, these experiences helped forge new EP 'Ponyboy'.

'First Place' caught our attention a few weeks back, with new song 'I Shot My Dog' underlining his potency.

It's a song about coming of age, with the loss of a childhood pet representing some form of severance from those formative years.

Jimi Somewhere: "'I Shot My Dog' is a song about growing up and all the pain that comes with it; losing your childhood dog, moving out, heartbreak, and losing touch with best friends. It’s stuff we all go through, but that doesn’t make it any easier. The song is produced by, and features vocals, from my best friend and producer Milo Orchis."
