Another day, another fantastic band from Ireland.
The Republic is truly spoiling us these days. Signed to the same label as Clash favourites Girl Band – but sounding completely different – Jet Setter are yet more evidence that Dublin is emerging as a hub for enthralling guitar music once more.
Indie rock – from when the term meant something – Jet Setter have the same appeal as Graham Coxon's early solo albums, lost Glasgow heroes The Yummy Fur or even Teenage Fanclub at their most abrasive.
The band's self-titled EP is out now, with sample cut 'Not Yet' finding its way online. A brisk, classy introduction, it's two and a half minutes of chopped up, off kilter fun wrapped in adorable fuzz.
Listen to it now.
