Jessy Lanza's 'Pull My Hair Back' was a wonderful debut, a record packed with vivid colour and tone.
The sense of control evident in Lanza's work is allied to a rhythmic chassis, to a percussive sense which is admittedly subtle but nonetheless daring.
New EP 'You Never Show Your Love' EP is due shortly on Hyperdub, and features three collaborations with some sought after producers.
The title cut features a beat from the late DJ Rashad, alongside contributions from DJ Spinn and Taso. The latter pairing recur throughout the EP, which is a direct and dexterous return from the Canadian artist.
