Something very special...
Spanish Ants

Zoon van snooK has stepped in to remix James Yorkston's track 'Spanish Ants'.

Everything gets a revival. Flares, corduroy, grunge... so why not Folktronica?

Four Tet's 'Rounds' recently received the expansive re-issue treatment, while a new generation of artists are fusing glitchy electronics with pastoral, acoustic folk tones.

A probing songwriting from the Neuk of Fife, James Yorkston has always proved to be a rich source of inspiration for remixers. Such is the case with Zoon van snooK, who has stepped in to re-work 'Spanish Ants'. Set to be released on Record Store Day (tomorrow!) on chunky 10 inch vinyl, this new version of 'Spanish Ants' allows the space in Yorkston's original to be soaked up with shards of digital technology.

An engrossing, twinkling delight that seems to scatter across your ears and into your cerebral cortex, Zoon van snooK described the remix thus: "I was honoured to be involved with this release, being a big James Yorkston fan. This is my contribution to the super Ltd 10" vinyl, which also features remixes by The Fence Collective's Seamus Fogarty, OnTheFly and The Pictish Trail. This remix is NOT downloadable ANYWHERE."
