It's difficult not to love The Black Madonna.
She's funny, deeply intelligent, and her selections are always, always on point.
However there hasn't been a hell of a lot of original productions for fans to feast on of late - in fact, her last cut came in 2013.
New track 'He Is The Voice I Hear', then, comes with no small degree of expectation. Opening with those striking strings, it then plunges head-long into some inspired robotic disco.
Constructed with studio partner Rupert Murray, the track features musicians Davide Rossi and Christoforo LaBarbera on strings and keyboard.
The Black Madonna: "I have always felt, where making records was concerned, that it was better to say nothing than to rush and put out a lot of music that didn’t say much at all. But now it’s time to share something with you that has been the most exciting project I’ve ever worked on. 'He Is The Voice I Hear' is my first all new work since (2013 EP) 'Lady Of Sorrows'. It’s been a long journey from there to here. I’m so thrilled to continue the story and finally realise my dream of bringing together an ensemble of live musicians."
Tune in now.
'He Is The Voice I Hear' will be released on January 9th.
