South London post-punk group Ice Baths have shared new song 'Simulation' – tune in now.
The band have been holed up in the confines of North Greenwich, a post-industrial hub dotted with the remnants of bulldozed docklands.
Euan Hinshelwood steered the sessions at his analogue tape studio, with Ice Baths capturing the precocious, barely restrained energy of their live shows.
New EP 'Decadent Sprinter' is incoming on Blank Editions, presented as a one-sided 12" vinyl document, designed to be experienced as a seamless, unbroken listening experience.
Out on May 3rd, it's led by new song 'Simulation' and it's relentlessly intelligent deconstruction of post-punk tropes.
Restoring the term to an arena for exploration, the guitars are shredded down to become points of percussion while the jagged vocals have an urgent, incessant quality.
