Debut album 'landmark' is incoming...
Hippo Campus

Hippo Campus have shared new track 'monsoon' - tune in now.

The Minnesota-natives will release their much-anticipated debut album 'landmark' early next year, with Transgressive stepping in to support.

New song 'monsoon' drops things down a notch, a painfully personal track that deals with loss, grief, and survivor guilt in a lucid, frank manner.

The band explain: "'Monsoon' deals with the death of a family member and the surprising lack of devastating grief. There was joy in the life that had been lived, instead of regret for what could’ve been. The monsoon itself became a metaphor for not experiencing that familiar and widely expressed "it should've been me” feeling, and trying to tackle that conflicting guilt. The guilt of not feeling guilty. Re-creating that world to exist in this song was a therapeutic and rewarding process."

Ghostly, haunting, but ultimately transcendent, you can check it out below.
