Listen: Harvey Sutherland – ‘Amethyst’ ft. Nubya Garcia

Jazz-infused production with a breaks influence...

Harvey Sutherland has shared his new Nubya Garcia propelled track 'Amethyst'.

There's a leyline, a pipeline of creativity that connects South London to Melbourne.

The Australian city's beats scene is making waves, with the likes of Bradley Zero's Rhythm Section making this link clear.

Harvey Sutherland crafted new cut 'Amethyst' somewhere between the two cities, linking his own work to London's underground take on the broken beat legacy.

Inspirational saxophonist Nubya Garcia adds her horn groove, a delicious, adventurous post-bop melody that epitomises the song's search for something new.

Harvey explains: “I wanted something that had a jazz feel and lightness that was still really informed by the London broken beat scene…”

He's certainly achieved that – tune in below.
