Gotts Street Park link with Florida rapper Chester Watson for new single 'At Times'.
The group are currently plotting out a new EP, which will feature their latest release.
Out now, 'At Times' has that gorgeous Gotts Street Park sound, the down tempo groove matched to a raw, almost lo-fi sound.
Reminiscent of Portishead at their most potent but with a more pronounced hip-hop influence, the backing is the perfect platform for Chester Watson.
He comments…
"I would say thematically 'At Times' follows the riff: 'It costs a lot to live free…'"
"It takes a lot of hard work to have the freedom of time, freedom of opportunity, and freedom on space. I think freedom is something a lot of people with privilege or status take for granted. Most times those freedoms aren't available to people of color or to the lower / middle class. They are stuck in poverty and a cycle of working key hours of the day, living from paycheck to paycheck, or not making ends meet at all."
"Some people end up homeless some people resort to substance abuse or other ways to cope. It's a sad truth about society."
