New EP emerges...

Frightened Rabbit are streaming their new EP 'State Hospital' online - listen to it below.

Frightened Rabbit sit tentatively between indie cult concern and mainstream phenomenon. The band recently tied the knot with a major, with Atlantic currently helping the band to construct their fourth album.

Before then, though, the band are plotting a one off gesture. New EP 'State Hospital' drops on September 24th, and seemingly contains material which simply didn't fit into the thematic structure of their upcoming album.

“With the exception of ‘State Hospital’, this is a collection of songs that for one reason or another did not fit on the full-length record, either thematically or tonally" singer Scott Hutchison explained recently.

"They’re still four of our favourites, and they definitely represent the directions we’ve been pushing ourselves into with new material. We were inspired by fairly dissonant artists during the writing and recording of these songs, from Beak> to The Shins via Max Richter and Caribou. I think we’ve definitely darkened our corners a little with this EP.”

Now Frightened Rabbit are streaming the EP online. Check it out below.
