Floating Points recently confirmed plans for new album 'Elaenia', a huge step forward for a producer already rightly hailed as one of the country's most singular voice.
Out on November 6th, the album launched with new cut 'Silhouettes (I, II & III)'. Now Floating Points has shared a brand new cut, and it's another sidestep from an unpredictable talent.
'Nespole' makes great use of layers, of different tones and colours assembled in a gorgeous, pastoral manner. The track's bubbling synths and sharply etched melodics exhibit the producer's interest in non-Western forms, with each line seeming to tumble off into an odd and enticing direction.
