Fatima Al Qadiri has crafted a new programme on music and warfare for BBC Radio 4.
The electronic artist steers The Sound Of Bombs, a 30 minute exploration of the manner in which the sounds of warfare run through modern music.
It's an experience the Kuwaiti born artist knows all too well – nine years old when Iraqi forced invaded her homeland, the first Gulf War was a formative event in her life.
The program explores the manner in which war is treated by musicians, as well as the sounds of conflict itself – drones, and methods of torture and interrogation.
