Fatima Al Qadiri has crafted a new programme on music and warfare for BBC Radio 4.

The electronic artist steers The Sound Of Bombs, a 30 minute exploration of the manner in which the sounds of warfare run through modern music.

It's an experience the Kuwaiti born artist knows all too well - nine years old when Iraqi forced invaded her homeland, the first Gulf War was a formative event in her life.

The program explores the manner in which war is treated by musicians, as well as the sounds of conflict itself - drones, and methods of torture and interrogation.

Now available on iPlayer you can catch the documentary HERE - it comes highly recommended.
