Montreal producer Doldrums is often tagged as operating in the left field, an Arbutus associate whose artful approach veers off into paths of its own.
New track 'Loops' though is a direct, club heavy return. A techno infused banger, it uses the loops of the title as a metaphor for destructive cycles within relationships.
The producer explains: “This is a song for anyone who has been stuck in a vicious cycle with a partner. It’s about the emotional intelligence it takes to recognize the pattern and the courage to break free from it.”
