With the original edit of 'Latch' firmly ensconced in the top 20 and Hot Natured's 'Benediction' sneaking into the top 40, what, a few months ago, would have been a meeting of two underground acts is now two radio friendly house names coming together. Of course even when Disclosure and Jamie Jones were less well known they were still making very similar music to their output now; Jamie was at pains to point out via his Facebook page this week that he hasn't sold out, he's just making the same music but it's finally getting some wider recognition.
This remix of Latch is definitely a grower, there's no teen-friendly huge build ups and massive drops, it's actually more restrained than the original and makes great use of Sam Smith's vocals. Jamie definitely puts his stamp on it and it's likely to be the first of many Disclosure remixes from the Hot Creations production stable.
