Live fast, disappear early and leave an impeccable back catalogue.
With just one studio album to their name, Death From Above 1979 just about fulfilled this aphorism – and then some. Returning to scenes of riotous behaviour at SXSW, the band's second volume has proved to be as blood-quickening as the first.
Heading back into the studio, Death From Above 1979 are to release their much anticipated (by a good decade or so) second album 'The Physical World' later this year (pre-order).
Last night (July 7th) Zane Lowe received the first play of the duo's new track. 'Trainwreck' is a bruised and bloodied return, matching throbbing bass tones to searing electronics and pile-driver drums.
Check it out now.
'The Physical World' will be released on December 9th.
