Darkstar have posted a series of clips online, containing the first hints of their new album.
Now signed to Warp, Darkstar are currently at work on a new album. The group have raced away from the city, setting up base in the English countryside in order to focus on writing fresh material.
ClashMusic caught up with the band earlier this year, with James Young explaining: “It’s like going to the monastery to worship music and we have to get into a state of meditation. We got away from London and it’s just not as oppressive. You’ve got lots of headspace around here and I think that made a big difference.”
Over the weekend Darkstar posted two clips, containing the first signs of their new album. Largely without percussion, the videos seem to focus on the more layered, textured side of their songwriting.
