Real name Emily Cross, Cross Record seems to stamp out a universe all her own. Haunting and deeply individual music, new album 'Wabi-Sabi' arrives on January 29th.
Ahead of this, the American artist has unveiled new track 'Basket' and it's an intense offering. There's a sense of Sharon Van Etten's autobiographical songcraft here, in the frank and emotive lyricism and direct delivery.
Yet there is also more than a hint of Swans, in the grinding, oppressive and enormously effective sonic palette. Dive in below.
