Listen: Clara Moto – Disposable Darling

Tech edged pop...

Clara Moto is set to release her new EP 'Joy Departed' on August 26th – stream the title track on Clash.

Born in Austria, Clara Moto's debut album 'Polyamour' made a deep impression on its 2010 release. Since then, the producer has spread her wings and moved to the cosmopolitan hotspot of Berlin, soaking up a myriad of new influences in the process.

Working on a new album, the producer is set to offer up a preview in the form of upcoming EP 'Joy Departed'. Five tracks which are pitched half way between down-tempo introspection and dancefloor abandon, it's an ambitious return which shows off Moto's flamboyant control of wide-ranging styles.

Available on 12 inch vinyl alongside digital download, the digital version of the EP adds bonus track 'For The Love We Lost'. Ahead of the release, Clash are able to bring you the first play of title cut 'Disposable Darling'.

The sharp, crystalline edges betray of genuine techno influence, with Clara Moto's vocals adding a soft, pop edge. The machine-like rhythms are matched to a very humane, organic arrangement which has an inky, velvet, twilight feel.

Listen to it now.
