Car Seat Headrest
"I’ll be your rock, God, when you’re rolling the dice..."

Car Seat Headrest have returned with the release of their new single, ‘Cute Thing’, taken from their forthcoming album ‘Twin Fantasy’, a re-recorded version of the Bandcamp classic.

Channeling elements of The Strokes circa ‘Is This It?’ days and Pixies, ‘Cute Thing’ is a snappy, ecstatic, classic indie-teen hit, nodding to James Brown and Frank Ocean, with the line:

“Give me Frank Ocean’s voice / And James Brown’s stage presence / I’ll be your rock, God, when you’re rolling the dice...”

Car Seat Headrest will be performing live, accompanied by a seven-piece band, across Australia, Europe, and will be playing their biggest headline show to date at London’s Roundhouse during their May UK tour.

The chief songwriter Will Toledo founded Car Seat Headrest in 2010 as a solo recording project, using Bandcamp as his platform.

Discussing the formation of the re-release of 'Twin Fantasy', Toledo says, “it was never a finished work... and it wasn’t until last year that I figured out how to finish it”.

The forthcoming album is out February 16th. on Matador Records. Tickets for the upcoming tour are available HERE.
