Dark neo-soul with an electronic feel...

Introducing herself with the darkly soulful cut 'Pebbles' last month, London based Barli quickly caused a stir.

Eager to strike while the iron's hot, the rising talent has quickly unveiled a follow up. 'Reach For Me' opens with glacial, funereal synths, before giving way to Barli's neo-soul vocal.

There's a taste of Sade in here, and this isn't meant as a curt dismissal - rather, Barli has a jazz flexibility which comes melded to a moody, melodramatic sensibility.

Dropping in martial electronics, 'Reach For Me' presents an artist who seems to grow with each track. With Ton Epoch on production, this is a very modern, greyscale pop song.
