Thom Yorke's journey from rock talisman to electronic tastemaker has been curious to behold. The singer has chalked off many milestones, including a surprise set at Los Angeles club Low End Theory.
At the weekend the frontman reached another important point: an Essential Mix. Designed to coincide with Atoms For Peace' debut album 'Amok', Thom Yorke and Nigel Godrich took charge of the famed Radio 1 mix at the weekend.
The results are typically intriguing. Opening with some Warp cuts, Thom Yorke includes tracks from many of his collaborators – notably a few dancefloor ready releases from Modeselektor's 50Weapons imprint.
