Angel Haze and Lunice crossed swords on new download single 'Gimme That'.
Angel Haze is one of the hottest properties in music right now. Surrounded with a halo of hype, the American singer matches a tight, foul mouthed flow to a very real bravery that sees her tackle subjects such as child abuse, pan-sexuality and more.
Recently performing a show in London, Angel Haze was introduced to Lunice. The Canadian producer is currently working with Hudson Mohawke on TNGHT, but decided to take time out to collaborate with the Brooklyn singer.
Yours Truly and Adidas Originals set up the collaboration which acts as part of the 'Songs from Scratch' series. The results are mighty impressive: 'Gimme That' is all kicks 'n' snares, with Lunice adding some lurid, fluorescent synths to the production.
Angel Haze, meanwhile, is on typically ferocious form. Refusing to pull her punches, the rapper's rhymes and brutal, uncompromising and ultimately contagious. With a New Year fast approaching, can she crack the mainstream?
