Limp Bizkit Reform

Rap metal gurus re-unite!

Seminal rap metal combo Limp Bizkit have reformed with the original band line up.

Back at the turn of the century, nothing was hipper than wearing your trousers around your knees, a baseball cap planted backwards on your head and a Limp Bizkit CD placed in your pocket.

Limp Bizkit were the foremost amongst a wave of rap metal acts who broke through in the late 90s. Commercial high point ‘Chocolate Starfish And The Hot Dog Flavoured Water’ spawned several global hits, as the band toured stadiums across the planet.

However original guitarist Wes Borland left in 2001, and despite a brief re-union in 2006 has spent little time with the band. It seems he has now left aside personal differences to focus on the music, with the full Fred Durst, Wes Borland, Sam Rivers, John Otto and DJ Lethal line up set to hit the road.

Durst and Borland said in a joint statement “we decided we were more disgusted and bored with the state of heavy popular music than we were with each other.”

“Regardless of where our separate paths have taken us, we recognize there is a powerful and unique energy with this particular group of people we have not found anywhere else. This is why Limp Bizkit is back.”

The band also announced plans for a new album and massive world tour.
