Lily Allen has shared the 'Making Of' video for her new single 'Hard Out Here'.
In one fell swoop, Lily Allen re-established herself as the country's most outspoken pop star. 'Hard Out Here' took aim at an entertainment industry built around the commodification of women, pulling no punches in the process.
Some commentators, though, felt that Lily Allen's use of black dancers went a step too far. Causing no end of web-based discussion, the singer has now posted a 'Making Of' video containing unseen clips.
Shown discussing the themes behind the clip, Lily Allen at one point discusses the dancers: "I don’t want it to feel like I’m looking down on these girls and going, ‘I’m too good for that’."
