Lily Allen has changed her name to Lily Rose Cooper and begun work on a new album.
Once upon a time, Lily Allen was responsible for some of the best pop music around. Foul mouthed and care free, the singer seemed to flick her middle finger up at authority whilst retaining a glint in her eye.
So it’s good to hear that Lily Allen is making music again, albeit under a new name. The singer has settled down of late, getting married and giving birth to her first child last year, and as a result is now known as Lily Rose Cooper.
In a series of Tweets, Lily Rose Cooper outlined plans for a new album. “It’s great to work at my own pace, with no commitments other than to make music. I’m excited to be heading back into the studio.”
Lily Rose Cooper’s last album ‘It’s Not Me, It’s You’ was released in 2009. It’s sunny outside, so here’s ‘Smile’.
