Foul mouthed pop starlet Lily Allen is set to release her new single ‘Not Fair’ after completing a mammoth UK tour.
As you could probably tell by the acres of tabloid space given over to her, Lily Allen is back. The singer released her new album ‘It’s Not Me, It’s You’ earlier this year to great acclaim. A wonderful collection of pop nuggets, it demonstrated that while she may have grown up, the singer has lost none of her naughty charm.
The first single to be taken from the album was the hugely successful ‘The Fear’. The track soared into the UK Top 40 at number one, becoming one of the year’s biggest successes thus far.
However it hasn’t been all plain sailing for Lily Allen. Comments in a recent interview on the subject of drug abuse landed her in hot water, while the singer fought with a member of the paparazzi after he bumped into her car.
The video for ‘Not Fair’ sees Allen performing on a 70s styled country and western TV shows. As ever, the singer is keen to see fans get value for money, with ‘Not Fair’ also set to feature new song ‘Why’, the Hervé mix of previous single ‘The Fear’ and a cover of ELO’s ‘Mr Blue Sky’.
Lily Allen is currently on a controversy strewn tour of the United States, but will return to the UK shortly for a series of festival appearances. Among the dates on her schedule are Oxegen, T In The Park, V Festival and Bestival.
Bestival is note worthy as not only will Lily Allen be headlining but the singer is also set to judge the epic fancy dress competition.
Lily Allen is set to release her new single ‘Not Fair’ on May 11th.
