The Australian newcomer pieces together a tapestry of pop tropes, crafting something eye-catching but highly unique.
Set to enjoy a massive 2019, it all kicks off with ultra-contagious new single 'Happy Idiot'.
Overflowing with incredible energy, the tinted colours are wonderfully over the top, with Lila Gold piecing together trop-pop, reggaeton, and bubbling electronics.
It's an infectious pop head-nodder, both utterly out of place and completely right for these mixed up times. She explains:
“I think I sound a bit kooky and crazy in the recording, I love that the most. It’s unsettling as much as it is hypnotic and melodic. it’s about the perpetual pursuit and navigation of seeking intimacy, validation and amusement as millennials and the disillusion that warps and wraps around us sometimes.”
