UK producer Lil Silva has shared two new songs.
A key figure in the development of British club music, Lil Silva’s talents have taken him to the top, including studio work with none other than Adele.
New project ‘Yesterday Is Heavy’ is actually his debut album, and it includes a host of guests, with Lil Silva utilising creative relationships he has formed over the years.
This new double-drop epitomises his approach. Skiifall joins Lil Silva on ‘What If?’ a track that takes the pair back to their system roots, incorporating aspects of grime, bashment, and reggae while moving in its own lane.
A red-hot return, the producer comments: “I really channelled inspiration from our roots on this record. You can hear the reggae, bashment and grime influence weave in and out. It’s about the course we find ourselves on without even thinking, how love and family plays a huge role in our life but staying grounded and never forgetting what got us here.”

The divine Charlotte Day Wilson loans her vocals to ‘Leave It’ which displays Lil Silva’s knack for contouring studio sonics, allowing the song to reach a new level of restrained intimacy.

‘Yesterday Is Heavy’ will be released on July 15th.
