LIFE Share Jagged Take On ‘Jingle Bells’

"We just had a ton-of-fun..."

LIFE have shared their unique take on festive favourite ‘Jingle Bells’.

The band’s third studio album, ‘North East Coastal Town’, landed earlier this year, a caustic take on life outside the capitol. Closing the year with aplomb, LIFE have just confirmed plans for a run of shows in February for the Independent Venue Week.

The shows include Future Yard in Birkenhead, as well as the historic Adelphi venue in their hometown of Hull.

This new release finds LIFE blitzing apart ‘Jingle Bells’, a helter skelter take on the festive favourite. Unashamedly fun, singer Mez says of the session:

When Christmas was lost to Covid/Lockdown we put on a livestream from our Moon Factory studio in Hull. It made us smile, it made people laugh at home and most importantly it made my little boy dance around my flat in Hull!

This year, following an incredible tour of our latest album, we wanted to celebrate at the LIFE AGM and got in the festive spirit to record the ‘LIFEMAS’ version of Jingle Bells.

Yes, we wore tinsel, yes, we wore Xmas shaped sunglasses and yes, we just had a ton-of-fun. Is it serious, hell-no but hopefully the track just makes people laugh and dance with their kids, pets, nan’s and gate-crashing X-mas neighbours – reach for your Satsuma and enjoy!

Tune in now.
