Frontman takes aim...

Liam Gallagher is talking himself into trouble once more, after slating Twitter and Jay-Z.

One of rock's greatest motormouths, the debut album by Beady Eye has allowed Liam Gallagher to vent his spleen about modern culture. Always opinionated, the frontman recently took aim at social networking.

The Gallagher brothers were initially fans of Facebook, before Noel 'fraped' Liam and the singer removed his page. Now Liam Gallagher has a Twitter account, but despite being followed by 200,000 the singer doesn't enjoy the experience.

Speaking to Absolute Radio, the frontman explained that he only uses the site as a last resort. "I only tweet when someone's got it majorly wrong, you know what I mean? That's the way I use it," he said.

He added: "If someone's barking up the wrong tree I sort of point them in the right direction, but other than that I'm not into tweeting - it's rubbish."

Liam Gallagher's Twitter page is not updated regularly. However in a fit of festive cheer he did use it to wish fans a Merry Christmas last year, before promoting his Pretty Green clothing label.

Elsewhere, the frontman has taken a pop at Jay-Z. Famously, the hip hop icon had a spat with Noel Gallagher which ended with the rapper opening his Glastonbury set with a fantastic version of 'Wonderwall'.

Now Liam Gallagher has taken aim at Jay-Z's clothing line. The hip hop icon runs Rocawear, which the singer believes is nowhere near the quality of his own clothing.

Spin engineered the row, asking Liam Gallagher for his thoughts. "You're going to be fucking arrested wearing his gear and you're going to pull a really nice-looking bird wearing mine," he replied.

Pretty Green has gone from strength to strength, and now boasts outlets in London, Liverpool and Glasgow. Beady Eye, meanwhile, are gearing up for their biggest UK tour yet which kicks off next month.
