Oasis singer Liam Gallagher has revealed to fans that his much talked about new fashion range Pretty Green will launch on June 4th.
Liam Gallagher has always been noted as a fan of fashion. From the early days of Oasis the singer made an effort to look cool, becoming one of the most iconic faces of the 90s in the process.
Always outspoken, the singer has applied his ‘your opinion doesn’t matter’ stance to his image. On one notorious occasion the frontman wore a full length white fur coat to Glastonbury – during one of the muddiest years on record.
Earlier this year the singer announced he was to launch his own fashion range. In the past, Gallagher has adopted a look somewhere between Mod and 80s football casual, blending sleek smart-casual clothes with rough and ready terrace wear.
In a statement the singer claimed he was working with several high profile designers for the range, which he will have a big role in creating. Liam Gallagher also chose to take aim at different fashion trends in the message to fans, stating that the skinny jeans look on guys was “shit”.
Not much has been seen of the new range, named Pretty Green after the song by The Jam. In one video message Gallagher wore a hat which bore the label’s insignia, while a recent photograph showed him reclining in a parka.
A new email from the Pretty Green website informed fans today that the online shop on the site will open on 9.21am on June 4th.
In addition to this, a new video showcasing the range will be able to view on the Pretty Green website on Monday (June 1st).
Of course, Liam Gallagher also makes music. A recent interview with Noel Gallagher saw the songwriter claim that Oasis will take time off to complete individual solo projects. However this has been disputed by several members of the band.
One thing is for certain, though. Oasis are due to launch their massive UK tour over the summer with support from Kasabian, The Enemy, Twisted Wheel and much more.
With venues including a hometown show in Manchester’s Heaton Park, this could well be one of the year’s biggest live events.
