Former Oasis singer Liam Gallagher has posted a new blog attempting to explain his bizarre behaviour at the BRIT Awards.
Liam Gallagher has a long history of causing trouble at the BRIT Awards. Both Robbie Williams and Sporty Spice have offered to fight him at the ceremony in the past, with the hell raiser returning with a vengeance at this year’s ceremony.
Accepting an award on behalf of Oasis, the singer thanked all the members of the band who worked on 1995’s ‘(What’s The Story) Morning Glory?’ except for his brother Noel Gallagher.
Throwing his award into the crowd, Liam Gallagher then launched his microphone before storming offstage. Labelled a ‘knobhead’ by host Peter Kay the incident caused much speculation.
Now Liam Gallagher has published a new blog attempting to explain his actions. “I’m sick of it all being about me and Noel,” he said. “The last couple of months has pretty much been all about me and him so I thought it was only right to mention the other lads who played on the album and the best fans in the world.”
The singer went on to claim that his attempts to give the BRIT trophy to fans was simply mis-interpreted. “I thought it was a nice gesture to give this to the fans,” he said. “Obviously it was misinterpreted as per usual.”
Liam Gallagher is currently working on new material with former members of Oasis, with the new group still looking for a name. However the singer did suggest that he would work with Jay-Z – if the song was right.
“If the tune’s right and its not too far out of my comfort zone, then yeah, fucking right!”
