Lewis Capaldi Announces New Album ‘Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent’

Alongside a massive European tour...

Lewis Capaldi will release his new album ‘Broken By Desire To Be Heavenly Sent’ on May 19th.

The Scottish songwriter found incredible success with his debut album ‘Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent’. Emotional songcraft coupled to a hilarious social media persona, his star rose and rose and rose, until shifting 10 million copies worldwide.

Tasked with creating a follow up, he decided to keep it simple. His second album lands next year, essentially recorded using only a small interface, laptop, speakers, and a Shure SM7B vocal mic.

Lewis comments: “I felt like I was sounding better because I was just chilled out in my own gaff. Also, a lot of this record was made with most of the same people who I worked with on the first one: TMS, Phil Plested, Nick Atkinson and Edd Holloway. At least one of them’s on almost every song.”

No. 1 smash ‘Forget Me’ is out now, with Lewis placing a brand new video online alongside the album announce. The track itself is indicative of what fans can expect – tender songwriting, from the heart.

“I don’t want to create a new sound for myself, or reinvent myself,” he adds in a press note. “The songs I want to write are emotional songs, about love or loss.”

Tune in now.

Catch Lewis Capaldi on tour in the opening weeks of 2023 – he’ll complete 31 shows across the UK and Europe.
