Lemmy Biopic Planned

Foo Fighters And More To Contribute

Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl and Velvet Revolver guitarist Slash are to appear in a new documentary paying tribute to Motorhead’s legendary Lemmy Kilmister.

The film, thought to be titled Lemmy, is slated for release in 2009 but it does not yet have a distributor, reports therockradio.com.

Other artists and celebrities likely to appear in the film include Alice Cooper, Mick Jones of the Clash, guitarist Steve Vai and wrestling star Triple H, with more announcements on the way.

The film was co-directed and produced by Greg Olliver and Wes Orshoski.

Orshoski commented, “You think you know who Lemmy is, but you have no idea. If you think you have Lemmy all figured out, trust me. You don’t!”

A teaser for the film is available at lemmymovie.com.

Motorhead will tour the U.S. this August while Velvet Revolver are soon to reveal the identity of their new vocalist to replace Scott Weiland, who left Velvet Revolver to reunite with Stone Temple Pilots.

The Foo Fighters embark on a sold out two-night residency at Wembley Stadium this weekend, where they will be supported by Supergrass, The Futureheads and Against Me!
