London based Leif Erikson return with new song 'Waiting For A Brighter Day'.
The group's Americana-tinged sound has built up into a slim but imposing catalogue, matching finely crafted songwriting to a beguiling sound.
New song 'Waiting For A Brighter Day' is their first since 2019, and it comes as the band prepare to hit the road for some live shows.
Built during the pandemic, the new single recalls early Band Of Horses with its frosted tones pointing towards more English sounds, such as Fairport Convention.
Recorded and produced by singer Sam Johnston, it's a beautiful return. Sam comments…
“I think we were all waiting for a brighter day and perhaps we still are considering all the problems we face as human beings. Personally this song has become a bit of a motto for me. Everyone can relate to feeling like the world is against them but in those moments it is important to remember that better times are round the corner. I will always be able to sing this song with truth and feeling.”
