Laura Marling is set to give a talk in London as part of Girls Music Day.
The event will return later this year, following a tremendously well-received opening instalment back in March.
The aim is to inspire young women to become involved in the music industry, whether that's as a performer or behind the scenes.
Laura Marling is set to give a talk at the event, which will be held at Sonos Studio London on July 23rd.
Other speakers on the day will include Lucy Rose, and Method Music’s Jamila Scott. Jen Long, Music Editor at DICE, said:
“We ran the first Girls Music Day in March and it was such an enthralling and rewarding experience, I can’t wait to do it all again. There aren’t enough women headlining festivals, running record labels, or working mixing desks, and complaining on social media won’t fix that. Instead we need positive action, and it’s a testament to our industry that so many brilliant women have offered up their time to help inspire the next generation.”
