Laufey’s ‘Bewitched’ Is An Ode To Romanticism

It'a a sweeping, orchestral performance...

Laufey returns with new single ‘Bewitched’.

The new song is the title track of her incoming album, slated to land on September 8th via AWAL Recordings. The Chinese-Iceland singer blends vintage jazz aspects with fresh-thinking, illuminating her music in originality.

Out now, ‘Bewitched’ showcases Laufey at her most ambitious – backed with a full-scale orchestra.

The song was recorded alongside the world-renowned, London-based Philharmonia Orchestra, fresh from working on such soundtrack projects as Baby Driver and Avengers: Age Of Ultron.

At its core, ‘Bewitched’ leans into Laufey’s romantic side – full of feeling and longing, it taps into the initial thrill of falling for someone.

Laufey explains…

“‘Bewitched’ is a love song. I wanted the Philharmonia Orchestra to illustrate that feeling when you’re first falling in love with someone, and for it to emulate the thoughts that run through your head after a perfect first date.”

Tune in now.
