UK Dates With Orchestra Planned

Indie supergroup The Last Shadow Puppets are set to being a massive UK tour, shortly after their festival debut at Glastonbury.

What do you get if you cross a Rascal with a Monkey? The Last Shadow Puppets, presumably. A link up between Alex Turner (Arctic Monkeys) and Miles Kane (The Rascals), the band have produced one of the most intriguing debuts of the year with their self-titled album showing a love for orchestral pop.

Live, the band are augmented by James Ford (of Simian Mobile Disco), John Ashton and Stephen Fretwell, who will be joined by a 16-piece orchestra. Last Shadow Puppets will release their new single "Standing Next To Me" on July 7th.

Last Of The Shadow Puppets will play the following dates:

August 19th - Portsmouth, Guildhall
August 20th - Oxford, New Theatre
August 22nd - Leeds Festival
August 24th - Reading Festival
October 22nd - Glasgow, Academy
