Last.fm Expands

New Video Channel Announced

Last.fm ventures into video to spotlight popular and emerging bands

Online music site Last.fm has made the launch into online videoing. Including video interviews of popular and unsigned bands and gig coverage of Last.fm events.

It kicks off with interviews with Moby, alternative star Santogold and Indie band Spoon. Aiming to provide viewers with music videos they won’t find anywhere else on the web, as they are up against stiff competition with Myspace and YouTube which are the most popular providers of music videos on the net.

Last.fm is continuing to promote concerts around the UK after success with artists such as Hot Chip, Afrikan Boy and George Pringle.
