Brainfeeder endorsed producer Lapalux is set to release his new EP 'Some Other Time' on October 16th.
Real name Stuart Howard, Lapalux' experiments with the outer fringes of hip hop have been attracting out attention since he signed to Brainfeeder earlier this year. A fantastic performance at Boiler Room back in February saw the producer's stock rise, with his inventive take on instrumental hip hop mashing together Autechre style glitch with woozy, Dilla style beats.
New EP 'Some Other Time' though, seems to have a soulful flavour. Out on October 16th, the five track release contains a collaboration with Kerry Leatham which is arguably the producer's most human document yet. Hinting towards a jazz influence, 'Forgetting And Learning Again' feels so loose that it might fall apart at any minute. Check it out below.
