Lana Lubany will release her new ‘YAFA’ EP on October 31st.
The alt-pop voice thrives on fusion, bringing together different sonic and cultural aspects. Singing in two languages – English and Arabic – Lana is carving out her own path, and fans are flocking to her music.
Recently completing a UK tour as main support to The Last Dinner Party, a flurry of headline shows sees Lana Lubany playing Oslo in London on December 3rd.
New EP ‘YAFA’ is out on October 31st, with lead single ‘Nazareth’ acting as a real audio manifesto for the songwriter.
An ode to Middle Eastern culture, ‘Nazareth’ utilises production from Sonder, with Lana’s incredible vocal bringing this multi-faceted song into one place.
She comments…
“‘NAZARETH’ is a song celebrating my memory of a place that shaped me and raised me. No matter what happens, my memories from there will never be tainted. It’s a fun, carefree song about a safe, comfortable community led space that I find myself missing a lot living away from home. Coming from a place where community leads everything, I got a culture shock when I moved to a big city in the West as I experienced a more isolated environment. This led me to feeling alone and unseen, which deepened my appreciation for where I come from. “Nazareth, you are the calm in the storm…””
