Lana Del Rey Working On Second Album

American artist back in the studio

Lana Del Rey has reportedly returned to the studio to work on new material.

Lana Del Rey wasn't quite the overnight success her debut album suggested. A host of missed opportunities and cancelled recording sessions lay behind that record, with Lissie Grant – to use her real name – undergoing a vast transformation.

So crafting a follow up won't be quite as easy as some expect. The Daily Mail reports that Lana Del Rey was spotted heading back into the studio recently, using a facility in Santa Monica near Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, Lana Del Rey's debut album is still riding high in the charts. The American artist re-packaged her first full length offering in a 'Paradise Edition' late last year, adding her cover of 'Blue Velvet' taken from a recent H&M advert.

Alongside this, the 'Paradise Edition' also included new tracks 'Body Electric', 'Gods & Monsters', 'Yayo' and 'Ride' – produced by the likes of Rick Rubin, Dan Heath, Justin Parker, Emile Hayne and Rick Nowels.

Watch the clip for 'Ride' below.
