Lana Del Rey Pens Two Songs For Tim Burton’s Next Film

'Big Eyes' is forthcoming...

It's long been remarked that Lana Del Rey's music has a widescreen, celluloid streak.

Now the American artist is set to write two songs for Tim Burton's forthcoming venture 'Big Eyes'.

The film itself concerns the life and work of Margaret Keane, an American artist whose paintings – which often featured big-eyed children – became iconic. Sadly, the bulk of her work was falsely credited to her then-husband, Walter.

As The Hollywood Reporter points out, Lana Del Rey is set to contribute a pair of new tracks to the soundtrack of 'Big Eyes'; the songs will include the title track and a track named 'I Can Fly'.

Producer and co-screenwriter Larry Karaszewski said of the title track: "Lana’s song expresses what Margaret is feeling so perfectly, it’s like a soliloquy of her inner thoughts."

'Big Eyes' is set to gain general release over the festive season.
