Lana Del Rey has de-activated her social media accounts.
The American artist has always had a love-hate relationship with social media platforms, embracing their intimacy while also rejecting their toxicity.
A row last year pushed Lana back to the forefront of this conversation, and now – with new album 'Blue Bannisters' mere weeks ago – she's decided to pull the plug.
Lana Del Rey placed a short clip on Instagram explaining her actions, before de-activating all of her social media accounts.
She said: “That is simply because I have so many interests, and other jobs I’m doing that require privacy and transparency.… For right now, I think I’m going to just keep my circle a little bit closer.”
Lana added: “I’m still very present and love what I do. I am absolutely here for the music…”
