It's also a drone pop wonder...

Lael Neale has shared her new song 'Blue Vein'.

The American artist spent her childhood on a farm in Virginia, before relocating to Los Angeles.

As a songwriter, she's drawn to spartan landscapes and open spaces, with her droning melodies underpinning a poetic lyrical twist.

New album 'Acquainted With Night' lands on February 19th, and it's her debut for vastly respected independent powerhouse Sub Pop.

A record shot through with her beloved omnichord, new song 'Blue Vein' is actually absent from these whims.

Driven by the guitar, it's a kind of resolution, with Lael's quiet determination giving the song and enduring feel.

She explains...

“I wrote this song pre-Omnichord and it is the only recording I play guitar on. I wrote it around New Year’s Eve and it felt like a resolution.”
