Ladyhawke Bites Back With ‘Guilty Love’

It's a potent live session...

Ladyhawke has been through some tough times, but she's come out on the other side.

The New Zealand alt-pop force took time out to focus on herself, dealing with post-natal depression and a diagnosis of skin cancer.

Music helped her through her treatment, and these experiences form the backdrop of her bold, powerful new album 'Time Flies'.

Set to be released on October 8th, it's shot through with a palpable sense of freedom.

Ladyhawke comments: “I was feeling pretty grateful to be alive and making music, so I felt like I didn’t ‘care’ anymore – not in a bad way, I just stopped over thinking it.”

New single 'Guilty Love' is out now, a soaring collaboration with BROODS which shot past the million stream mark in record time.

This live clip shows just how biting and penetrative her songwriting can be, featuring Ladyhawke in a performance setting.

It's a reminder of what we're missing out on – New Zealand sailed through the pandemic, with life returning (almost) to normal – and a sign of Ladyhawke's continued ambitions.

A bold performance filmed at Roundhead Studios in Auckland, you can check it out below:
