Synth voyager LA Priest has detailed his new album ‘False Luna’.
The project is the alter ego of Sam Eastgate, who fronted seminal UK group Late Of The Pier. Continually creative, his 2020 album ‘GENE’ saw LA Priest embrace bewildering facets of creativity.
Follow-up ‘Fase Luna’ pivots once more, and it’s slated to land on May 5th. The record was prompted by a personal relocation – from the Welsh borders to Central America, with recording taking place in Mexico, Belize, and beyond.
It’s easy to project a tropical sense of energy on to new single ‘It’s You’, and perhaps that’s only apt – his wonky pop tendencies are amplified, and shot through with beatific light.
Oddly catchy, it’s one of LA Priest’s strongest moments, and comes equipped with a new video directed by Eoin Glaister.
