LA Hyphenate Eera Returns With ‘Crash’

Glossy electronic world-building...

LA producer Eera returns with new single ‘Crash’.

The musician is a key component of the lauded Surf Gang crew, who tap into the DIY histories that pepper West Coast music-making. His own work has a distinctive flavour, with 2023 album ‘Can’t Stop Wasting Time’ ricocheting between 8-bit tendencies and ambient soundscapes.

Out now, new single ‘Crash’ is his first since the DJH-assisted ‘Bleed’ back in March, and it emphasises his penchant for glossy world-building.

A potent collaborator – he’s worked with BabyxsosaBladeeBlack Kray, and 03 Greedo, amongst others – Eera is on the hot seat here, the surging digitalism pointing to an awareness of the club space, but also treating the song as a three-dimensional audio artefact in its own right.

Curiously reminiscent of those early Tycho records in its calming impact, ‘Crash’ has a beatific quality that lingers after the final note.

Tune in now.
