L Devine has shared her new song ‘Laundry Day’.
The songwriter’s eagerly awaited debut album has finally been unveiled, with ‘Digital Heartifacts’ set to land on February 2nd via AWAL. The previews are coming thick and fast, with this North East talent sharing another single.
Hot on the heels of ‘Push It Down’ and ‘Miscommunikaty’, ‘Laundry Day’ is a moment of breathless honesty from the songwriter. Dulcet pop, L Devine matches her melodic instincts to natural over-sharing, constructing a “little snapshot” into her life.
She comments:
“Writing ‘Miscommunikaty’ was the moment where I landed on the ‘Digital Heartifacts’ world. There are all these emotions, but they’re stored digitally. I have these little snapshots on my laptop of my life and of the place I was at mentally during the time I made the album. I just find it fascinating that all those emotions are just code on a computer.”
Out now, ‘Laundry Day’ soundtracks part of a new short film; it’s a video trilogy, crafted to interlock by director Emilio Gamal Boutros.
